His competition career started at 3 years-old, when he won first place with gold medal in model and gaits competitions at the International Festival of the Lusitano Horse. At the age of 7, his scores above 76% on the FEI International Young Horses’ tests granted him the award of ‘Best Young Lusitano Horse of the Year’, by APSL. Still at the age of 7, Fidalgo won the National Championship in PSG level scoring over 70%. 

When he moved to Grand Prix level, Fidalgo kept his top performances – on his first Grand Prix competition, he conquered the 1st place with a score of 72%. He was also the winner of the CDI3* at Companhia das Lezirias at Grand Prix level, scoring over 70%.  

Son of Rico and Abetarda, he gathers in his pedigree the stallions Rajá and Hostil. Besides his undeniable athletic ability, Fidalgo is a horse with a fantastic morphology within the Lusitano breed: in 2017, he was the champion of the stallion’s class at the International Festival of the Lusitano Horse.
